The three-piece design of the Smart Flow Shroud catches and directs air from the grille into the air intake box, driving the most airflow of fresh cool air into the intake system. The Smart Flow Shroud will give a boost in performance from stock-to-heavily modified applications, and everything in between.
Compressive Tuning has developed this product to fit seamlessly with the stock bay designed by the engineers of Subaru. There is no need to cut, drill, or make any changes on your application. The Smart Flow Shroud will fit to your stock engine bay using stock hardware with no modifications. Making this one of the easiest shrouds to install.

This shroud is a nice piece. Install isn’t bad if you watch video and read directions that come with it. Fit is perfect, no rattles. Really directs air into the radiator and the scoop that is in the grill sends fresh cool air right into the intake. Looks awesome and functions even better. Compressive Tuning usually is expensive but they make very nice stuff. Well worth the money. Subispeed is always great! Installation was easy to do. Dont except to get more power out of your car with just this shroud. But you will get more air to your intake. So now when you are driving you don't see any difference in temperatures. But when you are stationary (stuck in traffic) your intake temperature get high really fast. When I start driving with the original shroud around 30km/u don't know in mph but then it takes around 5-6mins before the temperatur is back to the outside temperature. Now with the upgraded shroud the temp goes down faster 2-3mins. So you don't get more power. But you will lose less overall power because of intake temperature. Now is it worth buying... For me it's worth it because I do much city driving and get stuck fast, so my temperatures get faster "cool". If you drive long periods without being stationary I would say don't buy it and safe your money for a better upgrade on your car
Requires removal of front bumper, rad bracket, and technically headlights, Unsure if results are realistic in a performance standpoint, although does bring in more cool air to help the cobb airbox from sucking all the air from near the headers from below, might try blocking the bottom of the airbox now.
Wonderful addition to add to help send cool air to your intake. Installation is easier if headlights are taken off but not necessary to be taken off to be put on. You can flex the plastic piece that gets in the way of the shroud. Forewarning, those with hella horns installed may need to modify your horns to be dropped lower to clear the air ram on the left side. This was the case for the Perrin bracket, I just ended up using the stock brackets that came with the horn (drilled some holes to lower the horns) and attached it to the Perrin bracket to clear this shroud air ram.
Little Hard to Install on 2018 STI
Just a wee bit of a pain to install on a 2018 STI. Don't need to remove headlights though and once in it looks great. Also definitely helps with airflow and cooling to some degree... Would be nicer if it was a bit cheaper but a worth it product IMO if you need every ounce of cooling and airflow in higher altitudes and heat.
