The 2017 refresh of the Scion FR-S (now the Toyota 86) and Subaru BRZ resulted in a few new items. This includes LED tail lights.
These are genuine OEM parts and plug and play for all models years (2013-2017).

Absolutely stunning tail lights
By Clip March 23, 2017After my out of warranty 2013 FR-S tail lights developed the well known condensation issue, I started looking into different tail light options for the twins. While Valenti makes a nice assortment of various designs, none of them really jumped out at me. I was close to ordering a set of TOMs, but then I saw the newly available OEM 2017 tail lights and started considering them. Eventually, I pulled the trigger, despite the high price. I was not aware of how good they were really going to look just looking at photos online, or even when they showed up and I unboxed them, but once I got them installed - WOW. Absolutely incredible. They look so perfect on, and really POP. I love the all-LED design that is super functional and doesn't look tacky at all. These look so much classier than the OEM tail lights - almost Ferrari like in some ways. Another nice thing is that there is no relay needed, they really are plug and play. The lights arrived in their factory OEM Subaru boxes, you can trust FT86SF that these are the real deal, straight from the manufacturer. I was going to take a star off for 'fit', as my left one is not as flush in it's cavity as the right one is. However, this just may be my vehicle, as the early '13 models did have a TSB for possible body panel alignment issues. Separate '17 specific OEM gaskets MUST be ordered and used with these lights. I recommend installing them with 3M weatherstripping adhesive (after you verify all functions of the lights work), to add an extra layer of protection from moisture. Highly recommended tail light upgrade for any 13-16 FR-S/BRZ owner. You will not regret it once you see how beautiful they look when installed!
