Improve the Style of the Front End of your 2018-2020 Subaru WRX or STI while still complying with the local laws. The Grimmspeed Front License Plate Relocation Kit for the 2018+ WRX and STI has the most adjustability available on the market! In most states they require a front license plate and placing it in the windshield is not acceptable and zip ties does not look good. The license plate kit allows you to mount your license plate on the tow hook location. This location also allows more air access to the radiator and other engine parts for better performance.
Functional and Fitting
License plates are a necessary evil on the front of our cars, but you can save your front bumper from looking boring or blocking flow to your FMIC with the GrimmSpeed License Plate Relocation Kit. Utilizing their unique Infinite-Adjust design allows for virtually any mounting position and angular adjustment so you can mount it where you want it! Their simple design mounts in the OEM tow hook location for maximum support while providing you with the largest range of adjustment available on the market. With laser cut and powder coated 5052 Aluminum, this bracket will hold your plate confidently in place while looking sharp and light. Each tow hook adapter is custom designed, and CNC machined from 12L14 and then treated with black zinc for an indestructible and perfect fit.

Fits 22 WRX Base
By Q February 17, 2023Fits 22 WRX Base, but wish it could've been spaced out just a tiny bit more. Quick installation. Done in 15 minutes with the right tools. Sturdy so far. No sign of any loosen after a month of driving. Very customizable. Can fine tune the desired placement location. If I had to nitpick, the 3 different screws uses 3 different sized allenkeys. Wish it's just 1 so you can just keep one in the car.

Better use star screwdriver bits for install instead of the provided hex key.

Almost great
By Alexander April 24, 2019If you plan on taking your front bumper on and off frequently, don't get this one. The main bolt is driven by a hex key, and it rounds off VERY easily. I had it for almost 4 years and now I'm going to have to drill the main bolt out. Otherwise, its pretty great.

Fantastic kit that is easy to install
By Raymond August 15, 2018This took me maybe 15 minutes to install and I am so happy with the turnout. Everything seems to be high quality and I have no worry about it falling apart. The screws used to mount the license plate are not 'standard' license plate screws so you have to use the included screws. This means the GoPro mount that I have for it doesn't fit right. M5x16 screws fixed that problem for me (the long ones included with the kit are only 12mm long).

The fit is perfect with one spacer (about one inch between the bumper and the plate at the position that I placed it). I really like how there are so many different positions that can be used. The plate can pivet left/right or up/down depending on how you place the u-bracket. Overall this product feels very sturdy and durable. I think it is worth the price.
