Window Triangle Trim Overlays
Sticker Fab has produced a number of 3D Carbon vinyl overlays for the interior of the GR Supra. These usually cover areas that are prone to scratching and/or just very plain. The overlays are an easy and affordable way to add some customization to your vehicle. These mods are easy to remove should you ever change your mind or trade in your vehicle.
Material Details
Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Film is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application.
Lasts up to 5 years outdoors.
Care Details: Concept Carbon Fiber film should be maintained to preserve long term appearance using standard aftercare products designed for textured exterior vinyl surfaces. A commercially available protectant such as Armor All or 303 Aerospace Protectant is recommended. DO NOT use waxes of any type.
Installation Notes
Clean the application area and make sure it is clear of any dirt, debris, and/or Armor All. Roll the window down. Use of a heat gun or hair dryer is required. We started applying the lead edge of the larger vinyl piece first. This piece was chosen because the smaller piece will overlay this one and make a smooth edge where they meet. There are pictures of how we aligned the vinyl in the listing. Please pay attention to those and the spacing that was used.
NOTE: Before you use heat to press down larger amounts of this material, it is repositionable. If your initial alignment appears off, pull the material off and re-align.
Use small amounts of heat to massage the material down around the top of the lead edge. Holding on to the material with one hand, applying heat, and the using the other hand to press down the material is a good technique. This allows you to gently stretch the material to the end and prevents creases.
NOTE: We suggest using small amounts of heat because the material becomes soft quickly.
Since the window is down, you can grab the outer corner of the material and work the material down to this corner. Keep applying small amounts of heat and using your other hand to massage the material.
Now you can lay down the small piece that goes across the top. Lay it down over the flat area and then use heat to wrap it around the edge. It should meet and slightly go over the larger piece.
NOTE: Squeegees are not recommended and not needed.
