Details
CNC machined from Billet 6061 aluminum, CP's BPB sandwich between the cylinder heads and the intake manifold to create longer intake runners. The lengthened intake runners enhance the volumetric efficiency of the engine which translated into an increase of 19 Horse Power, 15 Pound Feet of Torque and narrowed up the torque dip by 300RPM on a totally stock BRZ. Their Billet Power Blcok also works with any aftermarket tune, exhaust and intake components. Crawford's original road testing was done in conjunction with their stage 1 reflash followed by extensive dyno testing with and without a tune.
The BPB kit consists of 23 pieces that make it a complete bolt on system which can be installed in under 30 min. In the kit you will find 2 BPB, 4 Delrin O-rings, 11 mounting bolts, 1 nut, 4 fuel rail shield risers, and 1 support bracket for the direct injection control unit.

Worth the $$ for the upgrade
By Brandon T February 18, 2022There was definitely a noticeable smoothing of the torque dip. I did not notice much of a power gain, but it seems the car is not having to work as hard for the same acceleration if that makes any sense. I don't like to keep a car in the upper RPM ranges, but it has always seemed that was the only way to stay in the power for my BRZ. After the install of the BPBs, the power band feels to have shifted a little lower in the RPM range and I can keep it in my happy place with less effort. This item does exactly what it advertises. Relatively easy to install (I did it alone in about an hour and a half). I think I spent more time finding the intake bolts torI would recommend replacing the intake manifold o-rings at the same time.

Great addon
By KILTEDKOREAN May 22, 2021Not exactly an "easy" install but worth it. Feel a big difference right away. I was very disappointed that the supplied hardware did not allow the ECU to ground so I had to add a ground strap to it. If the ECU isn't grounded the car won't start or blow a fuse.

I was very disappointed with the fact the supplied aluminum hardware doesn't ground the DI ECU so I had some blown fuse and no starts until I figured out why

By KILTEDKOREAN May 20, 2021The install is kind of a pain with tight areas and awkward angles but overall pretty nice. I was very disappointed that the hardware isn't correct to ground the DI ECU. Had issues with blown fuse because the supplied aluminum bracket does not ground the ECU.

A must upgrade after headers to eliminate the torque dip
By Sygfrid January 6, 2020This is 1 of the best engine upgrades I've done after the FT86 UEL headers & OFT tune for daily driving while keeping my FRS engine NA. The car now really pulls at around 3.2k rpm & the torque dip has been eliminated. You can regain the few lost top end by reprogramming the OFT tune as posted by Shiv on another forum. Even without a tune, you'll really notice a big difference on engine performance especially after the headers upgrade. My round TRD exhaust from 2019 TRD SE 86 sounds deeper & it does produce a pop as mentioned. Installation tips: It actually took us several hours to install it properly even if my mechanic's a pro since we took the necessary precaution of cleaning the dirt around manifold area to prevent vacuum leak. If you have an older car, REPLACE the original Intake Manifold Gasket that you can buy from Subaru. If you still experience some vacuum leakage after cleaning the manifold & replacing the gasket, try to reinstall by loosening the screws lightly & move & BPB around a little to help it settle in with the gasket.

Catches you off guard
By Oswaldo December 31, 2019I've seen cheaper alternatives elsewhere but still went with this one due to the fit and finish. With a little cussing, patience and a partner to help, it sealed very well. Definitely noticed some more passing power on the highway afterward.

Noticeable gains on butt dyno
By Stuart August 2, 2019This was a welcome addition to my CAI and engine back exhaust! I feel like I gained more than 19hp, possibly because of the combo making these even more efficient? On my 2018 BRZ the install was a little more difficult that expected mainly due to the position of the wiring harness but I was still able to install them on my own in about an hour and a half. I get some subtle popping sounds between gears now which is nice, and I swear the exhaust tone is deeper too.
