Stiffness
Love the stiffness of it. Not too stiff, I can actually feel the clutch engagement much more and I just love it !! Helps maintain yourself in between engagement and disengagement of the clutch.

GODSEND
I don't usually take the time to write reviews on products, even if they do meet expectations, but HOLY WOWWWWWWWW, who knew such a small component could make that much of an impact on driving feel and quality? It should have come stock like this. The installation was tedious but not unbearable, but oh so worth it. The clutch pedal feels much stiffer and doesn't push you past the bite point as the stock one did, but rather helps you stay within that zone for optimal shifting. Please, if you are thinking of getting this, do yourself and your synchros a favor and buy this spring.

Great early mod
I was never a fan of high engagement clutch points. You're just waiting on the release near the top while adding this spring gives a better feel reminiscent of my 90's civic. Cheap enough to try at least.

Pretty solid
This was a great purchase on my end, making the clutch a bit heavier and improving the feel. Installation was an absolute pain, the space is really cramped and its easy to lose parts. I suspect that it would've been much easier with the correct tools.

Awesome product
Super easy to install following ftspeed’s youtube video and has a better pedal feel compared with stock spring.
-
Great
I heard great things about this clutch spring and can’t wait to put it on my 2023 brz

Get It!
Smooth and easy shifts, a must have!

Great Product
Installation on the GR86 was a pain in the rear end. There is no space to work on that side of the floor. The spring however, works beautifully. The clutch pedal's feedback is so much better than stock.

It works
The brz mtec clutch pedal assist spring works for 2015 wrx. It's what I needed to help my shifts be smoother. Oem felt like, with the clutch pedal pushed down while releasing the clutch pedal, right at the biting point, it would push me pass the biting point. Causing me to jerk the car, I haven't jerked since replacing the spring.
-
Stiffer feel
It makes the clutch pedal have a stiffer feel from my experience with it which in my book it’s pretty good.also just a tad bit hard to install

Mtec clutch pedal assist spring
So I bought the spring. It's for a BRZ. But it does work for a 2015+wrx. As soon as I got behind the wheel, it instantly felt better. It works great, the pedal doesn't feel pushy so much. Easier to modulate the clutch pedal. I know you guys didn't know if it works for wrx, it does and thank you

Huge difference
Very easy installation for someone smaller like me. If you're larger or taller, this might be a bit tougher, but still shouldn't be too difficult. Videos helped with installation immensely. One of the easiest, and most worthwhile upgrades to make on this car. In 2 years of driving an FR-S, first and second still felt a bit rough. This new spring resolved all of that, and every shift is now buttery smooth.

Worth Every Single Penny
In the six months of owning my BRZ I was never able to get the hang of the clutch. My shifts in first, second, third were never consistent despite putting 10,000 miles on it. I previously never drove a manual so I thought this was how it was suppose to be. However, I heard about this product and I finally decided to spend the money on it. Installation was a a little difficult. I had trouble popping the spring out after taking the e-clip and pin out, but my brother stepped in and was able to do it in 30 seconds. After I had trouble putting the pin back in, but eventually got it. Also, the zip ties that were sent with the product were black and were able to hold down the spring unlike the white ones I've seen in videos that break. After installation was done I went for a test drive and my shifts were so smooth. It was a night and day difference. 10/10. This is a must have product.

A MUST DO
spring makes the clutch transitions so much better and smoother. it was a pain to install since there is little space to work with and I'm not a small dude but it was worth it and I would 100% recommend tip: make sure you get better zip tides since they most likely will snap.
-
A must own
This spring is not easy to install be ready to twist your body around and put in max effort to pull out the bolt and clip holding it on. I does give the car a more sporty and expensive feel but the first 10% of pedal push is very different and will take some time getting use to. Would recommend pairing this with the MTEC shifter springs on their website.

Should have been stock
This wasn’t too difficult to install overall, just cumbersome but I wish I did this years ago when I first got the car. I wish it came like this stock instead of the helper spring.
-
Best upgrade I’ve done so far.
We just got this car a few months ago. My wife wasn’t driving it and I thought something was wrong. I changed to this spring and now my wife won’t stop driving it. Makes the clutch range of motion feel much more linear and easy to modulate.

Straight forward and a great improvement
You already know how annoying it is with first gear in stop and go traffic with the stock spring. This fixes all that! The throttle modulation is smoothed out and is a lot easier to engage, especially first gear. This is a very cheap and well worthy upgrade, if you daily drive your 86. Get it! You won’t regret it. You’ll only wish you bought this as soon as you got your car. Just some advice when installing, make sure you zip tie the spring nice and tight so that install is a breeze.

The Bees Knees
HOLY GUACAMOLE, CHEESE AND MACARONI!!! This legit makes the clutch so much better. My story is that I was really tired of the OEM stock spring, it felt like it had a mind of its own. I took it out and drove without a clutch spring for a while; it was better, but that 'spongey' feeling at the top was just not working out for me. Bought this MTEC spring, and my stars, what a difference. It literally feels like a clutch that I have more control over. Install was easy, but at the same time a pain. But well worth being upside down for 30-40 minutes.

Essential
The difference between the M-tec clutch spring and the stock spring is massive. The increased friction and engagement feel really helps launch and shift the car comfortably. This is really how the pedal should come from the factory. Installation is a pain, mostly because there isn't much room to work behind the clutch pedal. The included zipties are kind of brittle and thin, so they don't help a lot to compress the spring when you place it back into the pedal assembly. However, I think its worth the hassle. A must buy!

Amazed
I love all of my mods but mtec shift springs and there clutch spring are the best mods ive done. A little pain to install but definitely worth it. Smoother and more consistent starts. Easier down shifts 10 /10 for this clutch spring
-
Good Compromise between stock and removed
Adds much needed weight to the clutch pedal. A pretty good compromise between the ridiculous spring that comes from the factory and completely removing the spring. Be patient with installation. Totally worth it.
-
Perfection
This is how the car should come stock, i can finally feel the engagement point
-
Good option
The MTEC clutch spring added a little bit of much needed weight to the clutch pedal, while minimizing the amount of slop it the top of the pedal that results if you just remove the stock spring altogether. Installation requires patience and can be pretty tricky at times, but it's worth it
