This is an OEM piece that is available in Europe. It's manufactured in Europe and has been imported by FT-86 SpeedFactory.
The twins are in desperate need of a center arm rest, and what better than to fit an OEM piece? This will look right at home with the rest of your interior.

Overall worthwhile product
I love the quality of the arm rest even though it is mostly made of plastic. My only issues came from not using metric drill bits during installation.

Absolutely perfect
This armrest is absolutely perfect, it is a shame that the US spec versions of these cars did not come with them out the box.

Didn't know what I was missing! Looks and Works great!
I have a '15 BRZ Limited. When I first saw the armrest it didn't "speak to me." and until I read a few reviews I wasn't convinced I wanted one. I bought the TOYOTA OEM GT86 LHD ARM REST with red stitching to match the rest of the interior's red stitching. The instructions are just pictograms, no verbiage, and the drill sizes are in metric and not quite the right sizes. I followed Van's suggestion of tossing the diagram after drilling the passenger side holes and using the frame as a guide. The rubber grommets work great but you have to find a drill bit that's slightly smaller than the rubber grommets and then play around with a deburring tool in each hole until the grommets squeeze in just tight enough. CAUTION: none of the screws in this kit need to be anything more than "Finger Tight" - do not over tighten! Total installation time was about an hour and a half (I am really cautious!) and everything fit, looks good, and works as it should. I am very pleased with how this looks and how it hides the clutter in my center console.

Great product
Love the look of this in my 2016 frs and overall was an easy install! I would definitely recommend picking up your own properly sized anchors and matching screws as the ones provided honestly don’t hold very well (which could have been user error) also to separate the cushion portion from the plastic there are black plastic plugs that honestly were impossible to get out and I couldn’t find any instructions telling me how to remove them I ended up using a very small pick to poke through them then pop them out to get to the fasteners holding the cushion to the plastic. Besides there needing to be better instructions was a easy and worth it upgrade!

Awesome arm rest poor installation diagram.
Installed in a 2019 BRZ Limited. The arm rest is awesome and fits perfectly with the theme of the car, down to the print patterns on the plastic trim pieces. Installation instructions are ok. Even if you print the diagram out at 100% scale, it will sit funny on the base console when you tape it to the car. My suggestion is to tape the diagram to the base console, drill the 5 holes on the passenger side, scrap the diagram, install the bushings, mount the arm rest and then use the actual arm rest as the template for drilling the remaining holes. Taking the cushion top off helps a lot during this process.

Great
Never felt safe drilling any hole into my car, however this proved to be worth it. I dont know why the oem models do not have this option in the US. I cannot imagine what it was like before the installation.

Looks Awesome
Looks Awesome when installed, but I wish I went with the OEM style instead and saved $40. The directions are garbage, what ever you do, dont use the 'tape together' schematic to drill your holes. After checking they dont even remotely line up with the armrest, and it was printed to scale. Had to make my own schematic with a piece of paper and poked holes where they needed to be. One of the rubber grommets dropped through the center console when putting the screws in at the end, very disappointing but it is still attached very solid without it. Finally just the overall quality is not that fantastic. Doesn't 'click' shut when closed, the frame flexes as you open and close it. Have a hard time believing that it is the OEM piece because the plastic frame is a different shade than the rest of the center console. Still the best looking armrest available in my opinion

not exactly a good diagram
Just scrub the provided schematic/diagram. BRZ was smaller, or larger. can't recall. whatever the case, just have a buddy hold it. use a marker to line up the drill sites and you'll save yourself a lot of grief. IT REALLY SETS OFF THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR. Comfortable too!

Is a must for the FR-S and BRZ
I don't know how I drove my car prior to installing this arm rest. It is by far the best looking one out there and it fits absolutely perfectly. Drilling is required but if you follow the instructions you'll be fine.
